Sh*t !! Sometimes you might be following up every rule and then a big piece of plastic/metal decides you should wear it as a mask.

Damn, they were lucky. All those big trees and signs and they just kept sliding without hitting anything.

Nah, I'd say they rode at the wrong place at the wrong time. The car (Acura?) that passed ahead of them created a draft that lifted that thing up in the air and hit them.

I disagree in this case, I'd say it was completely unavoidable, that's like saying if I'd left 5 minutes earlier today, maybe I would've met my future wife, while possible, has nothing to do with the situation at hand.
 
Looking at it it looks like the passenger may have panicked and put the driver off balance?
 
Love how the dude in blue on the sidewalk just keeps walking like it's any other day
