Does anyone know where I can get myself some new riding jeans, gloves and boots? Other than at GP Bikes and Royal, they're wayyy to expensive for me there.

I ride a sportsbike. Really need some new gear. I want to ride ASAP.

thanks for your help

If you're looking for cheap, you could try a place like Re-Gear or buying used gear. A lot of "used" stuff being sold has never been used or used very little.

HST free sale... Great. I forgot allll about having pay taxes. Royal n GP is still expensive but yes no tax does help. I'll check out the site now. Thanks

I'll be honest with you, inexpensive and 'gear' aren't normally in the same sentence. What's your budget? If we start with that we can eliminate some places right away.

Getting good deals on gear is a waiting game, you might be SOL since you want to ride asap.

@cuteblackfox hey you! I didn't know foxes hibernate! Where have you been all winter?
Look through the classifieds here. There seems to be a bunch of ladies' gear for sale lately.

Canadasmotorcycle website is awesome. best prices for gear and located in Montreal so shipping is quick. most of my gear i got from them.

If you can't afford Royal and GP, then you should probably sell the bike before you need to do the next maintenance on it.
Riding does not seem to be for you at the moment, if you can't afford it.

If you're trying to solicit free gear, then you should simply ask.
That way people can check to see that you're not reselling it on the side.

So recently, I found my receipt for my boots I bought on sale at GP a few years back.. nearly $300! I forgot how much I had paid for them, but you know what? after sliding down the road after having a bike land on my foot, that was $300 well spent. I would make the quality of the gear most important, but that usually goes hand in hand with price. BUT you can get deals if you shop around. Lots of people bought stuff at the winter shows, a lot of new gear comes up this time of year when people's situations change etc. Some good tips here, and also check out the buy/sell sub forum. I've sold and bought from here.

cheers

Look at kijiji and the this forum. I just picked up a icon leather jacket for $90. Alpinstar boots that retail for 230+ for 180.

If you are buying a jacket from kijiji just make sure you bring an ultra violet light with you.. I saw on 60 minutes they did s study and motorcycle jackets have 3 times the jizz on them when compared to a regular street jacket.

Kijiji or online from the States when dollar recovers.
There's nowhere in Canada that has good prices on regular basis albeit there are sales and discontinued items to be found sporadically.
A lot of people on Kijiji have gear that's new or in new condition though, that's really your best bet when on the budget.

I thought that was only Suzuki branded apparel...or ICON... lol

Hey have you checked out Daytona Motor Sports at Steeles and Weston? They have gear that is cheap relative to the other stores around. I recently got my m1 and bought most of my gear through them. The staff was really nice and they had a decent selection as well. Check out their website.
