Riding Down Under - Tropical Cairns Australia

A dark history. Noraly looks in excellent health but this was upsetting to her
China continues to impress with the modern cities, broad streets and superb infrastructure.
Motorcycles banned in the CBD
I mean this city is 10 million....!!!!
.......

Should had a feather...again jumped wrong way :sneaky:
....
Oh glad I closed my window - only 15 now and no cover on.
Good riding days coming up.

Might add a layer if I go up the Gillies....tho I have a mind to visit the cassowaries at Eddy Bay

Always get a kick out of this photo and fond memories of riding with Bruce when he had the identical White Burgman 650 Exec to mine in Canada. Made for the occasional confusion :sneaky:

gorgeous day - pigging out at babinda bakery on giant apple turnover and coffee milkshake. they don't make fruit smoothies anymore  so take a chance on a cooffe shake with half shot

this place is jammed on weekends
it is a perfect sun cloud day
Off to chase the big birds.
Finally bought a new kidney belt and feels very good so far.
$23 all in shipped and better constructed than my last one. Aids my non existent core muscles.

Chilly clear night. Might be okay for short ride later today.
Managed to stay awake for second LoTR movie..🧙‍♂️
Then out cold. Don't really want to get up for tea...only 16C 🥶 and I'm nice and warm in bed. Had a protein shake and panadol...should hold me till morning which is sunny and little wind. ☀️
Heart beat running a bit high for flat on my back - might take my pills early since the beta blocker works quickly. That 200 km ride was tiring as not riding enough....no cassowaries. New kidney belt worked the charm and with a few extra stops nothing too sore when I got home which was later than normal.

Bit chilly for a swim but the kids didn't care and too cold for stinger nets yet. ( keep potentially lethal box jelly fish out ).

Not as nice a day for riding but quite warm for spring ....tshirt all day. Caught up on sleep after sketchy night.
Watching third LoTR movie with partner who is recovered mostly but still grumpy

Marc back on electric EVE II - falling in love with it again.
I think he is very wrong about EV bike future. He has a perfectly good long distance ride with 300 km plus range and only needs the batteries to get lighter and more compact and that certainly in the works near term

I like the crazy Germans.
..
Hmmmm missed 1905 and only found out with 10 minutes to spare - failed but 1906 a winner (y)

.......
Hehe Noraly is a buzzy goof at times...

I have a big box of frosted flakes beside my seating area for watching TV and I eat the FF one at a time....makes a box last a long time. If I find myself grabbing more than one ....I know it's time to quit.
A box lasts longer than a bag of crisps and stay crunchy.
...
31 tomorrow ...yikes. Get out summer clothes
....
Lucky third guess nearly birdied

28 in the bedroom at 8 oclock. Very summery day for lunch out which was a culinary failure.
I'll try one more time..the special today was barbecue pork and rice ...pork was tough and rice too dry.

Nice setting with a view to the ocean and at least one good table with a long wood bench which I prefer.
I think they just started serving lunch food today - previously was evening meals and as part of the small boutique hotel. Meals on the main menu look very tasty and I like Thai food so hopefully today was abberant. :bored:

The $10 steak lunch which was very good value is still decent at PJ OBriens Pub but now $15 and limited menu. Good chips tho and surprisingly good steak.
....
And last night I DID confirm with my first wife that we walked on the floor of the still steaming caldera in Hawaii :o I almost thought it was misremembered but in fact was true.
