I'll be waiting on the newer batteries to hit and I do have to sell the CB500F.
At least if I get the City Ebike tomorrow for $325 it will keep me in the EV bike loop.
There are a couple small eBike outlets in Cairns and I suspect they are importing directly.

Interesting. When I use the menu to get to any of their products, I get nothing. It looks like they may be trying to be too fancy and give me a canada specific webpage that is completely broken.

Yet the bikes are available in Canada ....or at least the riding community has them - some in Tofino.
Cool with whitewall tires ....all I need is streamers on the handlebars

Picking up the eBike shortly. I sold mine for $890 a while back - this one I think is one wheel size up to 26" but not certain. The 24" was very rideable anyways. Excellent seat.

Dejavue but this one is 26" not 24". Need a rearview mirror but think I have one from before.
Not sure on helmet.

just missing the key for the battery but he showed me how to release the catch tho I can charge it without removing the battery.
Need a lock and a horn. Not sure I will bother with the phone holder since the navigation works fine from my pocket and through the headphones and not straying far until I work out range.
Lights etc working....battery charges full.

He missed his window for Tasmania....too cold now. He's a bit tired of being homeless in a tent. At least he got a second episode out.

Fuel prices not helping his budget.

10 gm of protein....go with my small slab of roll mop herring for brekkie.
There is also a deal on for three of the above for $6 which is a lot of protein.. We like Hungry Jacks.
Sometimes I score a free flat white coffee but not today.

Lovely day to be out on the bike 29c dry with fluffy clouds, quite windy. Was considering Kuranda but but will wait for another day and have German feed from Wurst House.

see if the $15 locals deal still holds. Even tho I just had the chicken wrap I'd tuck into the bratwurst just now.

Bike running well, switched back to the new helmet ....damn thing still whistles with the visor up ....have to work on that. Still undecided whether to work to solve that, then can sell the Schuberth C3. Can use the cash. Might go down to the lagoon and hang there for a bit tho will look stooopid in ATTGAT gear.
Girls are cute tho ....not so many backpackers these days with travel costs so high. Maybe there is a coffee and churro in my near future.
There is a Mexican fast food place I want to try tho not today. Meals run about $11.

Y'know this is not bad for $5.60 all in. 20 gm of protein too and I can have churros.


Pricey tho for sugary cinnamon stick....can do that with my French toast at home....seems like a good idea today.
Can tell my Ozempic is wearing off...got munchies...today is injection day but will enjoy the restored appetite for a day. Bit of a downside of the glutides is the desire for food goes and that's half the fun

We are just edging into The Dry season - lower temps and humidity ...today is lovely...fluffy white clouds and 29C. Bit windy, will keep ride short with $33.50 to fill the bike up - 4 Gal/16L ouch. I do get 400 km out of that tho.
Cyclone looming next week...last one nearly circled the entire continent.

This one should stay north of us as the last one did.....one can hope.

Marc getting over 312 km on one charge - 8 hours riding in multiple conditions, gravel, mountain, highway, town....impressive.
Cars are over 1,000 km per charge and the sold issue seems solved with dual chemistry battery packs.

20c at 6.30 am ..no wind. Good riding day. Had roll mop herring with sour cream and butter on sourdough bread for breakfast. Seems to suit me fine.

Okay ride up the Gillies....very windy but will be nice on the way home. Swapped stories with the AirHawk seller.
Stopping for steak pie at Yungabarra.
Felt okay when I got home ...180 km pretty much non stop with the Gillies in both directions was fun and a workout. Did not get home until 4.30 as had a Dr appointment at 11am which went way overtime.
Had supper then out cold....woke 20 min ago and thought it was morning ...
Turned out to be 9 PM!!!! ...I'll go have some tea and apple custard pastry ...watch some Vikings.

Perfect riding temps with big fluffy cu's just have to get out there lots. New chain on the bike seems to be helping already good fuel mileage...will likely break 400 km on this tank.

I was even a tad chilly on Gillies run in the shade and switched my Panadol dose up mid ride instead of waiting.
I put a note on my CB500F ad about fuel mileage...
