Will be interesting to see the F1 season start with all new cars and tech later today,

Finally out for a ride. Last day for this deal and battery felt a bit sluggish from no riding for a while. Will try for at least 100km jaunt today. Forgot I put in a 12volt socket so should have topped tires up earlier. Front was down to 23 psi ....too low. All good now.
There is no justice ....Hungry Jacks out of BEEF!!!!
Settled for large onion rings which came out past best by date ... they are doing fresh ones.

All else was fine tho ...might stop for coffee and pastry at Machans Beach on the way home.
New chain on the bike which relieves one concern. Needs steering bearings but that is not critical.
Forgot my kidney belt but not a big deal ....I need a new one.
If I ride up to Port Douglas I could score some wings for $17 or so .....have had a taste for them.
Tried that and the Irish Pub was closed then lost my fav water bottle on the way home.
Hungry Jacks ran out of beef the onion rings had to be sent back, I rode to Port Douglas for wings and the pub was closed on Mondays then I lost my fav water bottle on the way home.
Fell into bed when I got home with one boot still on....will reload tomorrow.
Really have to not take such long layoffs between rides. It was hot and I was sore all over despite two layers of padded riding shorts.
I did get the tires up to correct pressure and the bike ran fine....me ...not so much.

I've seen a small salty grabbing a road kill white riding on the Tableland near Mareeba. I was very surprised but checked later and there was a small salty spotted in that creek. The sun was low ahead of me so the characteristic profile of a salty vs freshwater was clear.
In Yellow Water the tourists are transported in tall big wheel buses to the tour boats for safety from lurking man eating size crocs ....we encountered a good size salty on our way to the boat launch happily swimming in the parking area, my photo
That size would take on an unwary human.
This evil loooking bugger was sizing me up for lunch....I was QUITE happy to be on a boat and kept my hands inside the railing.
They are quite capable of launching high in the water,
Take your hand clean off ...or grab your arm and pull you in as easily as snatching the chicken wing. Having glass between you and those jaws very reassuring.

And hearing in my left ear dropped almost 90% which apparently is a medical emergency...kinda hard to deal with on a Sunday ...have an ear wax kit and have used it but not helping.

Should be recovered from Brisbane trip to see Hail Mary in iMax yesterday
Such a long day was knackered when we got home at 11 pm - neck sore from nodding off in the airplane seat. I think I did nap tho.
Temps definitely dropping ...22 low tonight.
Vegging in front of The Last Waltz - one of my fav movies followed by the Led Zepplin docu where I learned a lot.

Free cheeseburger at Hungry Jacks ...
Free small flat white as well. Brought it home and had with Tim Tams.
Scored the entire 8 seasons of Game of Thrones on DVD for $50
It's a bit soft but the Blu Ray set is way more expensive and from 4m - DVD is fine.
Happy to find all 8 seasons too ...many are 1-7 - this is 70 hours of watching.
and got out for a short ride. More tomorrow.

Try for a longer ride today ...the Gillies beckons tho ride up the Cook Hwy more likely - really need to sort out my kidney belt
Best laid plans ...just too damn hot again. 32 real. ...will try tomorrow. Much cooler

Did get a few things done, sorted the iPhone mount on the bike and put the tools in a proper bag. Need to hit the gas station first thing ..$3 a liter ttat's going to be a $40 fill up.
