You are allowed to let someone else drive your vehicle.
It specifically states in my insurance( and I know 100% it states in every one else's as well)..you are NOT allowed to let someone else , other than people who are registered as secondary drivers/riders from operating your vehicle..
...if your friend takes ur vehicle and causes a crash , there's a chance that the insurance company will NOT pay out!

In general, you can lend your car to anyone, provided that you have given your permission, that they are duly licensed to drive, and that the car has valid insurance on it. However, lending your car is not recommended.
If someone borrows your car and has an accident, then your policy may be affected, because you would be responsible for damages, and the accident would be noted on your policy. In fact, the record of the accident tends to follow both the car and the driver. Please note that anyone who has regular access to the car must be listed on the policy, as this is not considered a case of loan.
