I did the Canadian side last week in 3 days. I took the ferry from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island.
The ferry starts to load 8:30AM. Motorcycles go first in and first out.
The weather was great. Plenty of gas stations (as long as you're good for 300km range).
The best part for me was Hwy 129 to Chapleau and 546.
Road shoulder gets very sandy on 129 if you stop to take pictures.
In Chapleau there's a nice breakfast place that serves good food. I can't remember the name but you won't miss it.
Next year I will do it in a week. I will go to the other side of the border to complete the loop.
Overall I had a good time.
