And Canada was among the top 20 countries whose residents have visited Japan recently, with 44,500 visits from Canadians recorded in February alone, up 31 per cent from last February. Over 550,000 Canadian tourists visited last year, up 37 per cent from the year before.

Apparently the yen is well down against Canadian and it's only 12 hours to Narita. Lots of tours and rentals available.
I occasionally think about how different life might have been if I'd spent the money on a Japan ride for a week instead of buying the little Yamaha scoot that I totalled.
I actually had a machine Teed up for a week riding then shifted gears to something I could use ongoing in Canada not knowing how quick my son would pass.

Would not consider riding Japan now ....no money ....getting too old but might be an adventure for some of you.
