On May 22, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., York Regional Police were called to the intersection of Highway 7 East and Silver Linden Drive for reports of a serious vehicle collision between a 2020 white Acura and 2018 Yamaha motorcycle.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old female from Vaughan, was not injured.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 28-year-old man from Stayner, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased shortly after.
The investigation in ongoing, no charges have been laid at this time.

Friends and family are mourning the loss of 28-year-old Amir Ardalan Ahmadi after he died in a collision on the weekend in Richmond Hill.
The 28-year-old was riding his 2018 Yamaha motorcycle when a collision occurred with a 2020 white Acura at Hwy. 7 and Silver Linden Drive around 9:30 p.m. on May 22.
