Renting for Full M Test

Is it allowed to rent/borrow a motorcycle for a day to do the full M road test?

Also, what do they test in the road test? How long does it take?

Yes you can rent/borrow a motorcycle for the test. They dont even check ownership/insurance.

Lots of threads about the M2 Exit test... use the search. It takes roughly 30-45 min for the test itself.

Yes you can ride any bike, (as long as it is a class M bike), as long as you have the required paperwork and bike is insured. They don't usually check but always be prepared.

There is a thread here with the checklist they use, but the MAIN thing is to keep acting like your head is on a swivel. The test length can vary primarily due to traffic conditions, but generally approx 30 - 45 minutes

Most do, as well as look the bike over to make sure its safe to be out on the road.

They didnt check mine or asked. But yes they do check the bike over (turn signals, brakes, basic knowledge of the bike, etc).

Ownership/insurance is your responsibility, not MTO's, they don't require those. They don't care whose bike you ride as long as it is road worthy. You do need your DL. If you are taking a private course like RTI or Humber then, yes, they will want insurance, ownership and sticker.

That's what they check for dude, Google is your friend:

The examiner will tell you what he expects before conducting the test.

Mine was about 15min.

yes, took my M2 exit a couple weeks ago with Durham college and a guy there rented a harley to do it, said they had a deal for people taking their M2 exits, cost him $250 for the entire weekend.

They just took my license. Didn't even bother checking over the bike.

When I did mine earlier today in Hamilton (passed :D) they just get your lisc, never asked for insurance.
