Radar at the Forks

In a nasty spot too. I think pulled in the North side of Mclaughlin but not 100% sure - just before it turns down to the one little twist before the bridge stopl

I was in tourist mode or would have got nailed.

Motorcycle cop with radar catching people both ways. Think he has a buddy he radios too - saw a group of sports bikes out of the corner of my eye further east from the radar cop ( they were in a side road to the north as he was )

Take it easy. Pretty low speed limit through there.

Good luck to them.
I have zero tolerance for ppl speeding in that area.
Those roads are meant for bicycle speeds as there are too many people strolling around and cyclists as well.

Every time I went there is nearly no one there, lol.

I second this. Too many idiots driving through the area like it's a F1 race.

I remember the good old days when they didn't set up radar there because all the tourists hadn't discovered the area. Sigh. :sad3:

When do you go there?
It does not matter, it will just take one time then it becomes a crime where one might see the end of time and the other locked up for the remainder of their time.

*yeah booooy*

A mix of weekends and weekdays. Still agree you should not speed a tonne through there.

Let's just say NO SPEEDING and when we see people doing it call them stupid, use peer pressure :)
It's a nice area to just cruise by and have a drink/ice cream cone, rest for a bit then be on your way.

I rarely ever see a bicycle actually on the Forks of the Credit road itself tho lots of people wandering and fishing along some parts in the middle where there is parking along the river.
The busy part is up at the west end where the coffee shop is.
East end where the cop was - not much. The bridge construction has reduced traffic.

The paving is finally down south of the Forks and it looks like there will be wide bicycle lanes in both directions all the way to King Road.
That will be good as there are many bicycles along there most days.

It's nice trend to see.....Mississauga turned a very busy 4 lane road into a much calmer two lane with wide bicycle lanes in both directions and a centre left turn lane.
Given the population and the schools nearby including a new one last year, that was smart - was a bit of a nasty race course before ( Unity Gate to Ridgeway )

Most don't like to ride forks because of all of the traffic. A lot of it just stops in front of you with no warning. Tourists seem to forget the rules of the road or how to drive when they come up here.

Are you talking bicycles or mcycles don't like to ride the Forks.

Certainly around the west end it's jammed often - never had anyone stop on the road itself. There are a few times usually in the later fall when the road is clear and fun but with construction and speed bumps in place it's just a tourist road.....but that speed trap was a money grab.

Bicycles although I've had them stop in front of me with no warning on the motorcycle too. It's bad in front of the park entrance and all along the stretch by dominion.

Not sure which is which - what ever is furthest west before the road turns downhill towards the first bridge repair - what it appeared was he was catching people coming east bound up that little twist and then radioing his partner further east.

This is facing west at McLaren. During the summer, the trees and undergrowth shield the RADAR users from view, and they park a little ways up on McLaren.

That's where the first group of riders I saw - the motorcycle cop was further west pulled off on the right .
