Race Fuel

U4.4 is a good lowER cost race fuel. At roughly $6/1L if you don't have a modified engine that can't take advantage of the fuel you don't actually need it. Your probably better off getting the T4 at $5/1L or just using pump and having a proper tune done.

You can use your 02 sensor with the U4.4 but you can't leave it in there or the lead will ruin it. I used my auto tune for a day with U4.4 and had no issues.

Thought u4.4 was for stock and modded engines was think of building a map for pump and a map for race gas

Right, you can TUNE using an O2 sensor but you can't leave it in there. So, no auto-tuner systems.

I'm paying a fair bit less than $6/L by buying in a 55gal drum. It's a bit more work but it's a lot cheaper. I figure it's about $600 a year in fuel, means nothing compared to what my truck sucks up towing the camper and/or trailer. :)

You can use U4.x in a stock motor, but if it has an O2 sensor you'll wish you didn't. You won't get much (if any) more power out of it, maybe 5% at best. However it's a very high octane fuel, so you can run a high engine compression ratio or high boost/nitrous if you're into drag racing. It also makes a really good motocross fuel for either 2-smoke or modern 4-strokes. Plugs can be an issue with four stroke motocross engines, because they spend a lot of time at lower RPMs.

You can run an auto tune, just not full time, so make your map and take it out. U4.4 is also oxygenated so if you don't use that drum quickly your not getting the full benefit from it.

True, and the fuel is sensitive to heat as well... the cooler, the better.

is that **** even worth it?? How much faster will it make my 250??...lol, I don't think there's anything that will make my 250 faster.
On my YZ250F it makes a difference. It's not like you've strapped a 600 under there, but there's a difference. It revs up a bit faster, and the bike feels a bit snappier. Top speed doesn't increase, but it pulls a bit harder, especially off the bottom for me.

The fuel is consistent. Meaning you know what you're getting when you throw it in the bike, you run the risk with pump fuel of getting something "contaminated" but I always run shell premium in the race bike on practice days (but it's more like a 50/50 mix of race and pump fuel). Race days it's straight race gas.

Yep, mine gets left in the coolest spot I can find, and lid stays sealed. It doesn't go in to any other can but the one it comes in since my fuel is also oxygenated.

I run renegade fuels.
