Any reccomends on manuacturer?

Should I go full kit including cables or just the throttle + cams part?

I used an insert, have to grind the housing a little but they work well and they're cheap.

R1 and R6 throttle tubes will work, have shorter throws and they are cheap as well. I think it's the 2006 years that work.

Just do the throttle tube mod from a yamaha its way cheaper like $17. On my 07 gsxr 600 i didn't have to modify the housing. The link has a whole write up on how to do the mod. With my bike i didn't have to dremel the housing at all. When it was finished it made a huge difference in the distance that you have to turn the throttle.

^ what he said.

I made an insert for my R1 using a piece of pvc pipe. There are instructions online. Cost me $1.50 and a little bit of time and it has worked great for the past 3 years.

So far I've gone the cable tie route. I'll see how it is this weekend.

It'll be a bit better but my insert was abot 1/8" thick (made out of PVC)
