I was thinking a little more about this.
Maybe getting 'modern sport bike' brakes on your bike may be a lot of trouble. It might be easier to put on a CB750 front end of the same era. The 750 brakes might be a step up from your current setup and installing a new front end might be an easier fix.
Just a thought.
