C'mon guys you are being totally unfair it has saved at least three GTAM several minutes, on their commutes so it is all worth it. Think of the poor children..lol

Like the article said, most people in the HOV only had 1 driver.
That was my observation as well.
I was in a train of about 4 vehicles behind a cop and every one of them was single occupant.
Rarely saw a care in the lanes with more than 1 occupant.
This morning was a first. Civic with 4 people. Making sure no one was speeding of course.

The whole point of the 3+ HOV was never the PanAm traffic, it was about piloting HOT lanes. And they did it in the summer when most voters are not around.

If they asked the question to people coming in or out of a Panam games venue then I can see how the numbers can be that high.

Take out a road we payed for and make a toll road. Great idea.
Its funny how the other day some co workers were asking if I thought Toronto should get the Olympics. Lol I said hell no Toronto isn't a world class city. Just look at the competing citys Rome, Paris, Budapest, Hamburg....ya good luck Toronto. You just need to Google "transit maps" for the competing citys. Light years behind.
Only the politicians think it's world class.
In the end its us that pay with very little to no return on investment.

Mass disobedience is about the only way to fight this ********. As well, discourage the use of the lanes by refusing to allow those using the lanes passage across the "peon" lanes to their exits; make them slow to a stop and wait, like the rest of us.
I will vote for the first party to promise recall legislation and the use of referendums for issues of this nature. Why, oh why, can't the PCs find a decent leader and platform that doesn't alienate everybody but corporations to run against the Liberals??
