Hi everyone I'm obviously new here and wanted to thank you for having me. I ride an Fzr600 1989 Yamaha and wanted to know what length of chain do i need? or how many links.

Do your self a favour and buy or find for download a service manual for your bike, It'll come in handy the first time you do any basic maintenance . You might also want to bookmark www.fzrarchives.com for future reference too. Lot's of fzr info on there.
 
Think you mean DID chain? You can also get application t info from Parts Canada's online catalogs if you don't have a workshop manual. Lots of info there.
