If someone can please help me, I have a 2006 Hayabusa. I added Brocks straight pipe exhaust and ever since then, I am getting horrible gas milage. I live in mississauga and lets just say that if I have a full tank of gas and I ride to toronto and come back to mississauga, my tank is on empty! Also my friends who were riding with me are saying that, "dude you arent spitting flames...you are literally shooting fire through your exhaust, I had a Toronto Police officer pull up behind me lastnight and tell me that that fire show out of my exhaust was f*kn awesome!! lol Although I am loving the compliments! This thing is kicking the crap out of me and my wallet. Im spending 30 bucks a day just for average in city riding!!! when it would normally probably cost me 10-15.

Some bike people last night were telling me that I have to reset the setting to run the straight pipes by jetting the bike, but then some mechanic said that you cant do that to your bike since its fuel injected. Also the bike keeps stalling at the lights, Do you know how embarassing that is!!! lol Here you have a bad *** lowered and stretched, straight pipe hayabusa and then I come to a light and stall it,if I forget to hold my rev up high. I look like a newbie riding now!

So If any of you great people on here can help me, I will greatly appreciate that. Thank you in advance. And please dont tell me that it was a bad idea for me to do the straight pipes. I have always had a gsxr1000 with a yoshimura, a zx10R with a hindle and than an R1 with a 2brothers. This time around i wanted it different and picked a hayabusa and ran brocks straight pipes.

Ever hear of a Power Commander ... ? ? ? That is an instrument for sorting out the fuel delivery on a fuel injected engine.

You need one. And you need a good map for it. I believe that Brock's has an arrangement that if you buy one of their exhaust systems, you can get access to the maps that they have made for it. You need to do that.

Yup, PC and a proper tune should help you out, as for stalling out, you do realize that straight pipes will kill your low end torque right?

But they are so bad *** bro! :agave:

Thanks guys, Im in the market now for a power commander. And yes I do understand that it will kill my lower end torque but to be honest this damn thing has sooo much power that I think i will be just fine.

If you are going through that much fuel, I doubt you are running at full power anyways. I easily get 250 km on a proper running hayabusa, even when riding like a dick.
