hello folks, looking for some help in finding a spot where one could unload/load a motorcycle from the back of a pick-up. I'm located in Etobicoke. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks folks.

Go to Lowes/Home Depot. Buy an 8 foot 2 by 12. Unload the bike using it as a ramp. Return it for a refund. Don't let them see the tire marks.

I usually just find a ditch to back my truck into and use a board to bridge the gap. At least it is close to level though getting it on and off the truck

Ive done this, worked like a charm even though I was a bit worried to try

the wood will damage the fairing when the back wheel gets partially down the ramp. unless you use one of these from princess auto for $12.
best bet is to get a friend and lift it on assuming its a sportbike and not a heavy bike.

thanks for the advise Gents. i'm in the Lakeshore and Kipling area. i have a spot that i've used before up around Kipling and Norseman - it's at some warehouse that's really quite an ideal location. i was hoping for a spot closer to home seeing as i'll be bringing back my bike at the beginning of March and i'm worried that there'll still be snow on the road and it'll be tough if not impossible to ride home the 5km's.

i use the ditch method to load the bike and it does work like a charm. i'm totally going to look into a ramp for the future - down in the States (that's where i'm hauling from) you can get one for a couple of hundred bucks.

unfortunately my bike is too heavy lift. i did a quick drive around my hood yesterday to see if there were any feasible spots - but i didn't see any.
