2010 GSXR600 :: EDIT :: After a little scare, the oil levels are correct.

I purchased the Bike from Snow City Cycle, absolutely great customer service. Mike Ball, the sales manager even responded to my message at 9pm regarding the oil levels in the bike. (I panicked when the light came on when I went to restart the bike). I also had to purchase a new helmet as I forgot mine at home (what a day).

I just double checked, kept the bike completely level and there is SOME oil in the bottom, (thank god) I guess its a late night trip to Walmart for some fking oil.
 
And to the OP. You think getting a brand new Gixxer without oil from a big *** dealership is bad? How is this for bad...I took my new Gixxer a few years ago, brought it home, rode for a few weeks, then took it back for service. Two hours later I get a call from the dealer saying "I don't know how to tell you this sir, but somebody stole your brand new bike from our shop".

Heh, so think twice before you leave your bike at a shop. ;)

Heh, the funny thing is they denied responsibility, imagine that? That's what I call a true Stealership. My insurance had to pay me for a new bike and I lost a few grand on taxes. And this was one of the bigger Suzuki dealerships, not sure if I should name which one because it's been almost 6 years now so maybe they changed their security measures.

It's been a while so I don't remember exactly what was said but it was something to the extent of "robberies happen, it's not our fault", you know kinda like "**** happens".

They didn't even want to give me a nice deal on a new one, after the incident. Scumbags.

And more proof that having insurance doesn't mean f-all, you still end up losing out of pocket not icluding any extra modifications and time.
I laugh when i hear some loser tell the condo people to "just get insurance and don't worry about it"
Famous words from an idiot that never had a bike stolen :lol:

This might sound dumb but did you just turn the key to the one postion and not actually fire it up? The red light will stay on until you actually fire it up, then it will go away. And if the bikes warm and put the bike level was the oil between the F-L marks in the window.
 
This is not the first I've heard of this ! That's why I checked all the fluids before I left the dealer with my new bike, the salesman was like " what you don't trust us ". I told him no I don't trust many people especially with my stuff!!

Okay, this was completely my stupidity and jumping to conclusions. The bike was hot after the 1 hour ride home. After I came home from dinner, I checked the oil level and it was okay. Wooops.
