Parking Ticket

I got a parking ticket a few weeks ago, parked in a 1hour zone. They wrote down the wrong sticker date. I took it to a civic center and they basically said "No problem" and cancelled it. They didn't ask for ID, registration, insurance any of that! They just cancelled the ticket, no questions asked!

As far as the GTA goes, parking tickets are machine printed these days with automatic date/time stamp.
Where did you get yours hand written?

Well lesson learned, you got lucky.

Of course not everywhere in the GTA.

someone i know got a parking ticket for parking on private property but the thing is they are not allowed to ticket bike unless owner of property calls them and the owner of property did not call, so now you gotta miss a day of work to fight $50 ticket.

Instead of making money for the govt, they are wasting it with stupid court hearings.

i don't know if this will work for bikes but for cars ive used http://parkingticketguys.com/
ive had 3-4 tickets filed with them and ive never had any problems. you basically pay half the price of the ticket and they deal with it. if its a low ticket like $50 id rather pay half and avoid the headaches... but if its like 200+ id rather fight it myself. i usally get crappy $20-40 tickets so i dont mind paying half

I guess they figured I drove all the way out there, the ticket was from a side street off Queen and Spadina and I took it to the North York Civic Center, for a $40 ticket. $40 is nothing to them, if it was more like $200 I'm sure they would give me a bit of a hassle. 40 and under I usually pay, but they where in the wrong.
