Paris Speedway will be a busy hub of excitement this coming weekend! Flat Track Canada a newly established promotional group are presenting a Championship Series for this coming racing season, and this weekend sees the first two events of this new series.​

Saturday a 1/2 mile race will be held on the top horse track, and Sunday will have an event at the regular track in the Paris Fairgrounds.

The information from Flat Track Canada is
Paris Half Mile May.18th

Gates open 9:00am
Sign in closes at 2:15pm sharp
Riders Meeting 2:30pm
Practice 3:00pm
Show starts at 5:00pm

Paris Short Track May.19th

Gates open 11:30am
Sign in closes at 4:15pm sharp
Riders Meeting 4:30pm
Practice 5:00pm
Show starts at 7:00pm
*Camping is available at the Fairgrounds for $15 & includes water hookup + indoor washrooms and showers.

Aww man!
I just read this too in Inside Motorcycles Magazine.
I wish I had found out earlier....have bbq plans with a few other families today
.I've seen them on the small track many times, but would love to watch them on the big track.

To close to the chain link fence turn 4. Wowsers. Couple guys pulled wheelie down front straight.

That was great.Now THAT'S racing! Stayed in the pits with a buddy that had his two sons riding expert class.Colin on left and Nigel.

I was standing at the start finish line at the fence.. way too close to a few of those riders!!
My son took a stone to the upper lip, just the size of a BB .. but he was stinging for a few minutes.. so we moved to the stands .. out of the dust as well !
It was awsome to see them cat walk down the front straight, and almost into the corner 1 ! a couple of them were showing off to the crowd for sure! I love that kinda action!
I hope the last rider was ok...
