TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. — Police say a Canadian couple has escaped serious injuries after their three-wheel motorcycle crashed when it struck a black bear running across an Adirondack road.
State troopers tell the Post-Star of Glens Falls that 69-year-old Robert MacIntyre of Orangeville was travelling on Route 30 in southern Franklin County when he struck the bear Thursday afternoon in the town of Tupper Lake, 180 kilometres northwest of Albany.
MacIntyre and his passenger, 63-year-old Mary DeVries, were both thrown from the vehicle.
Police say both were treated at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for minor injuries.
Troopers say the bear ran off into the woods.

Wow! GWS rider and passenger. Sheesh.... I though deer and moose were bad enough, who'd a thought about a bear!

Glad the bear didn't consider them "fast food", or "meals on wheels".

GWS to both of them!

This is bad ass. And since there were only minor injuries, I hope they will tell this story whenever they get the chance. GWS.
