Does anyone cut down bike rotors similar to the way we did automotive versions before the Chinese made them cheaper to buy?
 
I don't think you could do it even once without the rotors going out of spec. Also for floating rotors you'd disassemble the buttons and come up with some way of fixing the rotor.
 
You dont machine motorcycle rotors, you replace them once they get thinner then the minimum spec that should be written on the rotor...

And Chinease rotors are complete crap, thats why they are cheap
 
I assume you are talking about surfacing them. You will need someone with a blanchard grinder. I use Forrest + Forrest Racing -

They do a really good job
