OEM or Non OEM tires for 125r

Need some updated thoughts as some of the other threads I found are older.

My 125r is a city commuter. When the tires wear its only in the center. Are OEM tires still my best bet or is there a better tire for commuting?

Its 166 after taxes for a set of OEM from the dealership.

Follow up question, will one of the tire sellers on here order OEM or is it strictly aftermarket? It would be nice to order them to a shop for a better price and just show up to get them swapped. (and yes I know I can e-mail a vendor but looking to see if anyone tends to do this)

Thanks

Honda doesn't make their own tires so anyone that sells whatever model is the same as the stock model will sell you "OEM" tires.

There is no need to order OEM tires, doing so is actually fairly uncommon.

Any bike shop can get your tires. Call around.

I believe the OEM are IRCs and they suck. I would get the Pirelli MT75s for it.

I rode a 125R that had new IRCs fitted recently and the rear was really slippery in corners.
