You should get on that...constant power/torque with a nice punch :3

I would do unspeakable things for an MV Augusta F3...the 675 is so awesome

My dream bike would be an Aprilia rsv4

Are you sure about that? You have to do more gear changes on a twin than a 4 (on comparable cc's). For instance a 600 can go to about 90km/h on 1st gear. A twin not so much.

I've never got into the hype of twins, there's nothing below 2000rpm then everything comes on after that. Then it flattens out at around 6000rpm. That to me seems like alot of unusable powerband. To me a 4 has more refined smoother power, more predictable.

Plus a 4 doesn't vibrate as much at idle or high revvs

My SV has nothing but smoothness at any RPM. The difference is that while you are not screaming at redline doing 90 km/h you are actually in a higher gear, the same one that a twin will be in or higher. Now you take a turn and have to do 2 downshifts to accelerate well. The twin can just leave it in the previous gear and power out of the turn. WHat you are describing (or at least it seems like it) are small cruisers. Your posts tell me you haven't tried a twin sportbike.

What's below 2000 rpm on a gixxer 6?

If you are referencing a 1098 I suggest you try riding it instead of imagining how they feel.

Yes, I’m sure of the way I ride my Ducati 900 SS and how different it is to my MV Agusta 675 F3.
I have friends who I’ve let ride my Ducati and they think it’s neat but it just isn’t for them and that’s OK. How many fours have anything under 2000? My 900 actual doesn’t like to run under 2500 but it’ll pull to about 7800. After 8000 it falls on its face. But it’s all useable in between so I don’t get your comment about “seems like alot of unusable powerband.” Furthermore, just because a twin doesn’t rev as high as a four doesn’t mean that it’s any less fun to ride. I’ve enjoyed my Ducati for over 14 years.

For a 4 when you just let off the clutch it will slowly want to go. With a twin it feels as if it will stutter. Have to blip that throttle

Depends what you like... Dunno why you are asking a forum, lol.

Personally, with the price drops of Duc's lately, I might go that route when I get a new bike, under 10k for a monster or hypermotard, sign me up.

Was speaking to the Duc reps at the last show, and I said the only reason I don't like Duc's is so few places to service them, by the dealership. He told me that they were teaming up with a car dealership, can't remember which, or were bought out by, can't remember, and they planned to have like a few thousand dealerships for Ducati's in a few years in NA

That is indeed a sweet ride!! I would have the dough if i didn't purchase those shiny stones worth $8k for our 5th anniversary :o

But honestly, after that last rear end on my parked bike (last week)...I feel very unlucky.. it's twice in 3 years!

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing bad about buying a gsxr 600 or a 750. Just for that money, I think my next bike will be an 848 if not a liter bike.

Different strokes for different folks. There are those that 'get' the appeal of a Twin, and those that like the inline screamers.

my twin can do 90 in 1st and not scream toooo much ;)
