New to moto insurance help!

Hi everyone!

I am new to motorcycles, and depending on the cost of insurance will i get one next year.
I plan to get about a 2007 Ninja 250r, I will be 19 years old and would of obtained my M2.
My problem, however, is that I will study in Ottawa for the duration of the school year, and would only have the chance to ride from May-August (inclusive).
Is there a chance to get a four month only insurance plan since I'm not bringing the bike up there?
Any advice would be wonderful, thanks in advance!

I am almost 100% sure that is not possible. The shortest term I hear is 8 months.

Nope. No such thing as 4 months. Sorry.

But you wouldn't want your bike covered for fire & theft? Might as well just get that instead of full coverage.

you can insure the bike, then cancel at the end of august. you will most likely owe a bunch of the policy remaining. go read the cancelling insurance sticky for more info

To ride May, June, July, and August, you will have to prey pretty much an entire season's worth of premium. Please refer to my cancellation sticky threads.
