Welcome to the forum. Did you consider starting on a smaller bike as your first bike?

I did consider Buying a NINJA 300 just I'm a bigger buy around 210 pounds and the bike felt kind of small for me. So far I am glad I bought the 600 other then the insurance that is lol.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ

^^^THIS!!!! That's insane! I was so happy when I got my new bike cause my insurance went from $73/month to $58/month. The "freedom of the open road" at only $330 a month, plus tires, oil, gas, etc...

It was the cheapest I found most places we're quoting me 550 a month. I was paying 650 a month on my sports car. (Clean record).

$73/month to $58/month.

I consider myself lucky at 25 paying $120/month for my duc.

I mean, I get it, you want a fast bike that looks cool. I hear ya. but 4 grand a year? what a waste.

I bought a 125 when I was 20, rode the **** out of it, and paid next to nothing for insurance. You're only 2 seasons away from a huge break in rates, you could have gone with a 250/300 kawi and pocketed 5 grand over that time.

I mean, if you're mindlessly wealthy or parent's are paying for it then it's a moot point I suppose.

I wish that was the case lol, parents haven't paid for anything since I was 16, but I do make a good living and need to get away from all the b.s. sometimes so 5 gran a year is a price im willing to pay for that. And also I need tax right offs lol. And price difference between a ninja 300 and the gixxer was about 60 a month.
