I almost lost my only key to my bike a couple days ago... where in GTA can i get a kawasaki key made without costing me a lot.... ? Thanks

Problem with the search is that your term has to be longer than 3 letters "key" doesn't work. "Key Cut" doesn't work. "Key Made" wont give you much either as it just looks for "made"...

Sorry bud if I knew the thread I'd link it here, I need to find a place for it too.

I just got a spare key made for my fz6 not long ago.. ordered a blank off ebay and just brought it to a keycutter.. way cheaper than going the dealer OEM route..

To sum it up, the cheapest way is order a key off ebay and have your local locksmith cut it for you and here is the thread that C-Note was referring to:

I ended up getting mine done at cycleworldsuperstore at 4545 Sheppard ave East. They have most brands keys in both plastic heads and metal cut logos. Here is their key cutting page http://www.cycleworldsuperstore.com/custompage.asp?pg=cutting

i remember someone mention a locksmith did his key for $6 down but sherboume and near front st? can't be too many lock smith down there you should find it.

Got a blank off ebay for $5 shipped. Got it cut for $2.80. Cheapest spare key you'll ever get.

Ended up going to Benson Lock mentioned in another thread. $6+tax.

The key works somewhat... they said its because my original key is a little worn out ... I guess its good enough for a spare?

Get sand paper and file it down a little... should make it operate much smoother.
When I got my key cut it wouldn't even turn the ignition until i filed it down and smoothed the edges a little.
What do you mean it works somewhat? and what good is a spare if it doesn't work properly?

well, it takes a little bit of jiggling to get to the on position..sometimes no jiggling sometimes yes.... . maybe i'll try to file it down a bit... or try to use it more often? the key i got is much longer than my original key... don't know if that matters though

if you don't had the chip in the key just go to the key cutting place in fairview mall, it's like $5. if you need a stock key you'll need to buy one from snow city and get it cut .
