When buying a used some buyers want to know the history of the bike etc. the uvip on a canadian bike would provide that information......number of owners, liens etc. The uvip on an american bike would not. Hence some people will pay extra for a canadian bike.

When you renew your plate for the motorcycle they don't care about mileage. How is uvip going to help if someone rides around with their speedometer disconnected?
Because most owners dont commit fraud

I can't vouch for a SS but I have a 09 Ninja 250 I beat the **** out of...
At 60k km valves were still in spec and the bike is redlined in every gear daily.
Chain/sprockets, rotors and cam chain tensioner were all due for replacement but that's to be expected at that mileage.
