Bought my girlfriend a Klim jacket yesterday. She noticed it came with Klim stickers. She thinks we should put one sticker on the tail of my new Ural sidecar with "in" beside it and one on the rear of the bike with "on" beside it. Clever lady.

Isn't that a short i?

I was sure it was Klim as in Klim Kadiddlehopper.

So if you are riding a ducati and wearing klim, can you actually see the road? At that point your nose is so high you are almost looking backwards.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Apparently its pronounced CLIMB - pesky Europeans.
Well, from what I understand about the story - the owners just couldn't figure out a name for the company. At a brain storming session someone had a box of milk of some sort. There was a reflective surface beside it. The reflection read "kliM". So, they made it a bit different with the hard sounding letter "i."

I have owned lots of goretex clothing and gear over many years. Most were good but not 100% waterproof. My Klim suit is.
Expensive, yes. The best? YES!

What happened to aerostitch? Not the top of the pile anymore?

My go to is Klim Dakars - I love it for +10 degree riding. I have Klim snowmobile stuff its great too.

I'm not a fan of the quality of their gloves, and helmets. Their 4 season MC gear is well made, but I find it uncomfortable. My Badlands is hot, heavy, and sweaty, and it faded horribly as they font use UV protected fabrics.

My Tecnik 4 season was 1/2 the price, twice the jacket... sadly they are out of business. I

I've had a bunch of Teknic stuff over the years, and it all worked great. Two piece leather suit, kangaroo track suit, various gloves, a mesh jacket, and a few other odds and ends. I was very disappointed when they went bust, but considering their gear was also surprisingly cheap, it wasn't a huge surprise. I mentioned it in another thread, but one of the dealerships at the most recent motorcycle show had baskets of entry-level Teknic gloves. A real blast from the past, considering I think they went belly-up ages ago...

Agreed about the helmet. Very comfy. Good ventilation. Very light. But overall qac construction is poor. And the visor mechanism is junk. Would not buy again.
Thinking of buying my girlfriend an AGV tourmod. Any input?
