Motorcycle won’t move when I shift

Hey everyone Im having issues with my sportster. I was riding away from a Light and when I went to shift nothing happened and I got stranded on the highway. Now when I shift gears nothing happens. I can go into first and let the clutch go and I won’t stall out or move? Any help would be much appreciated.

primary drive problem
or clutch problem
looks like the clutch spring plate is a problem on Sporties

I'd drain the primary oil and look for metal particles

Mileage on bike? You have a problem with either your clutch or the primary drive chain has come undone. Both of these problems are very unusual and if you have to ask about it here, you need to get the bike to a shop because you don't know enough to fix it. The primary drive chain is under the left side engine cover. It involves draining the transmission oil, removing the cover and a mech will see very quickly what the problem is.

Yep, what they said, although 2 things note, the primary drive and clutch has its own oil bath, and the electric starter needs the chain in place to work, so if the bike still electric starts you most likely have a clutch related problem.
