Motorcycle Tank Protector Pics

Got mine from Riders Choice, Progrip in carbon fiber. I don't think its real carbon fiber but it looks cool. They're usually 20-25 bucks. I don't have a picture but just google Progrip Tank Protector...

When I first got my bike, I picked up a few accessories from Suzuki of Newmarket and got an authentic Suzuki "real" carbon fiber tank pad...
It was going for something like $45

Now that I got a new tank, I want to go for something different... maybe a clear one.

I bought the 3M clear film from www.thetankslapper.biz, but haven't applied it yet. I wanted to get the paint on my tank in better shape before I put it on....of course in my efforts to remove the swirls/scratches/cloudiness that were on there, I actually made things worse by being a little over zealous with the rubbing compound. After another hour+ of polishing, I've got it looking half decent again, but the scratches are still visible. I put the bike away yesterday.....think I'll have a pro take a look at it next spring before the film goes on.

I was thinking about the stomp grips actually...

Stomp doesn't apply nearly as easy as Tech Spec. Inexperienced installers will have several zillion bubbles to deal with.
(I used to work installing 3M graphics) Stomp can't be re-used - Tech Spec can.
One side of my tank's Stomp Grip on my gsxr was laying in the back of the trailer when I got to Deal's Gap.
The other side came off on the way home. It won't go back on.
Tech Spec is a far superior product all around. It's not cheap, but worth every penny.

C3 Traction or Snake Skin?
I like your feedback ever since your recommended the LSL frame sliders...

Thanks for the advice.

You gotta love the LSL sliders!!
I've got the Tech Spec snake skin on my Busa, but the C3 is likely better for track use (I've never seen the C3 in stores though).

I love the LSL's... haven't seen another bike with them yet.

I've read a few reviews and came across this from the site I usually order my stuff from;

Snake Skin - A standard rubber product that is thicker then “High Fusion” (.125”), but is molded with a low profile diamond grip pattern to help increase the coefficient of friction. Snake Skin is an excellent product for riders of all skill levels and all conditions. Snake Skin is the preferred choice of most aggressive, higher skilled, track day riders. Snake Skin also uses TechSpec’s “Releasable/Reusable adhesive”.

Old school: Targa half bra. Had it at my door, about a week after a local shop told me that they didn't exist anymore

Ladies night on the first day of show. Free admission for one of us, at least ;)

Great idea. Buy one now for $21.95, or wait for the show and pay $20.00 for one!!

Oh ya, don't forget the $16.00 (+?) to get in.

Ahhhh - the old 'dirt catcher'.......I've actually seen rust behind those things. Must be lead in the dye?

How much is parking? (I've only been to that 'show' once - will never go again)
I think you'll have better luck saving a dollar on a tank pad at the January show across from the airport, and parking is free.

Got it online. If interested, I can find out where. There was a bunch of them for almost all bike types.

P.S.:
Now I see, Rob has the same same

Nope. No rust. Have it for 1.5 season now.
