Rumor has it they discontinued the F4 for this reason. They couldn't meet emissions and refused to ugly the bike up.

To each his own, but to me that thing sounds nothing like a 250 to me. It's got a crossplane so it's got a more muscular tone to it than the typical dull parallel twin engines that are out there
