I prefer a dedicated $100 garmin refurb GPS from tiger direct mounted on my bars than my $600+ cell phone. Don't even care if it gets wet but a ziplock Baggie and elastic band does help on long road trips.

deciding on the two ram mounts which one is better any first hand experiences with the finger grip?

I bought the fork stem mount in the video from gpscity.ca it seems to work pretty good on my gsxr.

Are those waterproof MacDoc? Im guessing not, but I wonder if anyone sells a waterproof version.

This worked well for me...easy on and off and I can switch sides

$20 and you can change the angles or sides to deal with sun or glare....easy to read.

Best for bikes with bar shrouds

They have all different versions for different phones at Best Buy / Future Shop. Its an armband for runners.

I have a garmin attached to the stem mount in cradle similar to this. Fot the most part it works well.
It is very secure, but lets the unit come out easily when needed.

my only complaint is with the stem mount, it sometimes rotates, so you have to trun the unit back to straight at times.
