Motorcycle Magazines

I stopped reading any bike magazine years and years ago. With the internet, there really is almost no need for them. Everything is out there for free, plus forums where you can actually interact with people who ride the same bike as you, or the dream bike you hope to be riding. Plus the countless pictures of real peoples bikes keeps me interested endlessly.

I feel the same way and can't really justify magazine subscriptions due to the Internet. Still, it would be nice to flip through a magazine once a month.

What are you really hoping to see? With the internet, its instant. Rumour, spy shots of new bikes, first hand reviews, watch releases, or at least read as soon as product is announced. Peoples ride reports, pictures, trips, mods, all changing, all new every day. No magazine can really compete.

It's more about the satisfaction of flipping through paper and not having to sit in front of a computer. It'd also be nice to have a few issues lying around for me and my friends to flip through while hanging out in the garage. It's somewhat old school I guess

+1 I stare at the computer numerous hrs a day. It's just nice to have something to flip through when bored. Down the years there'll be some magazines/issue you'd like to go back to for reference or just for the heck of it.

I dunno....maybe it's me, but I'd rather not take my ipad into the can....that's a perfect reason for a magazine right there...

:D

VERY technical on bike reviews, loads of good articles and very honest. This magazine has NO adds, its 100% based on subscriptions. What this means is that they can review a bike and not worry about the companey who puts adds in the magazine being mad.

You'll get no argument from me there :)

Jampy & Hawk, nice links thanks

[edit] I just happened to read the article "Is This the MSF's Secret Plan?" while following the mcnews link that GT Hawk posted and found it really interesting: http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/proficient_motor.asp

I agree completely except there's nothing more satisfying than opening the mail box to see a good m/c mag in with all the other junk. That's enough to induce b/m within couple three hours. Win/win.
