I'm glad you're having better luck with yours. I bought the Big Red lift from Tractor Supply on sale last year, about $99. Despite being new, the frame was so twisted that it wouldn't even lower all the way down without 'nudging' it with a crowbar :sad:

I took it back & grabbed the similar lift from Can Tire, about $130. That one works just fine.

And yup you need to confirm the underside of your bike is flat & OK to be lifted that way, before buying the lift.
 
Screw the jack. Just lay it on her side...

Honest to God, the owner laid the bike on the grass to replace an o-ring in the sump!

That is too funny . . .

i hear a lot that the motomaster ones from crappy tire that came with a bottle jack tend to go. . .not the frame, the bottle jack.

THere's always a few of those on kijiji. . .just bought one off a guy for 40$.
