The Motorcycle Cannonball is a ride for pre 1930 motorcycles from New York to San Francisco over 17 days. The Saturday night stopover was in Sandusky Ohio so a buddy and I rode down from Toronto and stayed at the same motel to see the bikes and talk to the riders. The oldest bike was built in 1913, and some of them looked as if they wouldn't make it one day let alone 17. They average 300 miles per day. Some bikes were fully restored and others looked in original condition.
I have put together a brief Quicktime slide show of some of the many photos I took. Watch for the Indian that has a roll of duct tape and a pair of flip flops hanging off the back of it. For those that read American Iron, Buzz Kanter is on #15
