He just caught 11 more breaks (ribs, ouch!)I feel so bad for the Terminator, poor guy can't catch a break![]()
Technically, it's a safety thing. Too low pressure means the tire flexes and heats up too much as compared with the conditions Michelin designed it to operate in, potentially leading to catastrophic failure.and what's up with this stupid tire pressure rule? can't they measure before the race so they don't pull guys from the podium after they already celebrated? feel sorry for the Maverick as well..

This comes up when cars are penlaized in F1 for being under weight by a pound or the plank being too thin after the race.Technically, it's a safety thing. The problem is that the temp is so sensitive to whether you get clean airflow or not. More air cools the tire and lowers the pressure, so if you're leading the race your temp/pressure is going to be lower than if you're closely following someone else. So on the grid you sort of have to guess whether you'll be leading or following someone for the majority of the race. And no one, not even Maverick, ever thought he'd be leading the race for that long in clean air.
remember Randy de Puniet?
I wonder if, in the same fashion, all of Marquez's crashes in Alpinestars and Shoei gear have sold more than his wins...Do I ever!
RdP was the reason why I bought my REV'IT! one-piece leather race suit.
He crashed so often in his that I thought, "If those leathers hold up that well that often, they're gonna suit me JUST FINE!"![]()
