Haven't been up to the Redneck Bistro in a while, so riding up to Calabogie for lunch this coming Monday. It looks to be beautiful out with 30deg and pure sun, so perfect day for a ride.

Small group of experienced riders only, since this has a fair amount of twisty and hilly roads.
Should be around 1000km round trip from Mississauga. No gravel intended - just paved roads. If you have ridden with me before - same sort of thing.

Pace: Responsible in the straights, respectful in the smaller towns and a fun in the corners. No hooligan or stupid stuff.
Fuel: Gas stops roughly every 200km.
Food: Packing snacks & will have a nice sit down lunch - hoping for a seat on the Redneck Bistro patio.
Time: Leaving Mississauga around 6:30am and hope to be back around 7pm.

Meetups: Open to meet up anywhere between Mississauga and Belleville.
Route: Here's the approx route there: Mississauga to Calabogie and here's the approx route back: Redneck Bistro to Mississauga

Post up or PM if you are interested.

Shane, just back from an overnight in Arnprior, The Redneck Cafe is always good however we missed it this time as we had Lunch at the Bent Anchor in Combermere.

The roads were very good but lots of road maintenance along most roads

Road 16 is really good BUT 5kms at the Western end is really deep gravel (Thursday) and was problematic for one of our riders. Good to see you taking it from the west.
Once completed it will most likely be the best road in Ontario. The paving has taken some of the character out of it but has better sight lines and paved shoulders with pained lines are on another level.

Enjoy the ride

Thanks - I had read that there was some construction on 16. If it's only 5km, then I'll still go on it and just take my time, because the rest of that road is so nice now. And I agree - it will be the best in the province for sheer twistiness once it's fully finished.
