What's left of Hurricane Patricia to hit Toronto Wednesday
Make sure you bundle up Wednesday as the remnants of Hurricane Patricia are about to hit southern Ontario.
According to Environment Canada, residents could see anywhere from 25 to 40 millimetres of rain. However, communities beside the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario shorelines could see up to 50 millimetres.
This storm will likely bring southwesterly wind gusts around 70 km/h, and around 90 km/h near the shorelines.

The storm is expected to taper off late Wednesday or Thursday.
Hurricane Patricia, which grew to a Category 5 storm, first made landfall in Mexico on Friday..

I think I will pass on Knectel's perch run ;)

I hope it doesn't cause too much ****

I only watch the weather when it affects me or other riders....I have a son riding and a staff riding daily and I ride daily. That enough reason??

Don't take this lightly - 2" of rain and wind up to 90 kph will not be fun in any vehicle.

perhaps you might recall this

We're due for about half of what fell then ....

There is an historic El Nino in the Pacific which is what spun this hurricane to the strongest ever recorded in a very short time with 320 kph eyewall winds.

This is heavy weather impacted by climate change ....interesting times....always a good idea to know what's going on in the world eh

I went outside my door and live relatively close to the lake, but it's the first time i could actually hear the waves from my doorstep. I went to check it out (a good 4-5 minute walk with the pup) and i kid you not, I havent seen that many non-stop waves in this area for quite a while.

Hang on tight guys!

Just curious, all your threads are about weather so I thought I'd ask what's the fasination and reason for it.

Thanks for keeping us all informed, I almost washed my truck but now that I know it's going to rain I won't waste the time.

Lots of leaves down on the road this morning. If you on two today be very careful.

Nasty out there - glad I'm not riding in it...cleared off a bit now but even walking across the parking lot was soggy making.

We have a mound of apples on the ground from the tree in the back.

My threads in this section are most often weather related....I'm usually in the touring section.

Because I ride every day and tour a lot then weather is a big factor
I put on 8- 9k since last week in Sept.

Timing a ride to avoid storms and sometimes even heat is important for me.

I used to fly saliplanes so have a weather background from that as well.

I have a run scheduled tonight, so far 2/4 have cancelled.

Look out for the shoe leather express'rs. Heard a lot of pedestrians were hit this am.

Heh, I was on the LSB that day. Pretty scary as the water got deeper the closer you got to Jameson Street. Those shabby Honda Indy barriers certainly didn't help. I bailed just as the water hit exhaust pipe height (didn't want to stall in that mess). Drove up into the Ex grounds and waited for a while, traffic was chaos, most traffic lights were out for days along the lakefront. Sheets of water, not rain. Had to drive up to Dovercourt to make headway getting home in the west end. Today's weather was nothing in comparison.

I rode to work today. I get caught every now and then but this time I had all my rain clothes on. Wish it would rain harder though but oh well.

I just called in sick at work. I'm actually sick too. They say power might be out tonight

14 and counting. Wonder what the single day record is?
