Microsoft Teams

I think I'm going to use Google Meet...when we were teaching online, a few boards got rid of Zoom because apparently it wasn't very secure, so I'm leery of using that platform. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
Teams is not secure either. When they bought Skype, a peer-to-peer conferencing software package, they deep-sixed the software which they weren't interested in, and invited Skype users in to use Teams, which is "cloud-based," aka all communications go through an orchestrated central system which could be recording everything, and probably is.

Fire up your conspiracy theories as to why this happened, I know what I think.

That would piss me the hell off if work locked down my personal computer like that.
I'm surprised teachers dont get a separate work laptop for work purposes only!
It's standard in enterprise. It also does make sense - they only lock down the app itself - sandbox Teams/Outlook, and everything else runs as normal.

I hate Teams with a passion. I could not make it work at all on my Android devices for two years, so I had to be at home to take any Teams conference calls, of which I had many. Then Microsoft folded up the remainder of its failed tablet/phone business - suddenly Teams works on my SAME Android devices with a software update.
Thisd is usually determined by your company's policy. Usually latest version or 2 of Android, only Samsung, Motorola, iPhone, etc., not any random chinese OEM phone.

It's quite literally the 2nd buggiest piece of software I've used in the past decade.
Fully agreed
