Died yesterday at age 85. Icon, suspension pioneer, `69 Grand National Champion, Inductee into 5 halls of fame. And for many of us here the man who sparked the motorcycle flame as the star of On Any Sunday. The opening scene of him sliding his XR750 sideways on the mile at 100mph can`t be unseen. Be at Peace Mert.
