I need to buy a bike soon.... was passing by sheppard/McCowan and saw the massive new sign at cycle world ...all glittery white and all...

Is it just the sign or there's change of management as well????

If any one's been there recently, then kindly share your thoughts as I live by that place and the bikes there seem attractive!

I was there for a helmet couple of weeks ago. They have got an alright selection of bikes. I was surprised to see that bike i was intending to buy three years ago was still there for the same price three years later. I guess bikes' value don't depreciate while in the showroom funny. The bike in question is now 5 years old.

I know they charge a bit high for their bikes given the mileage. Atleast, that's what I see from their website bikes for sale samples

Went by recently. Way too high. I would STRONGLY suggest Kijiji instead.

Yeah another thing you wanna be aware of mileage are all in Miles not kilometers. And most of their bikes are lowered (SS) and salesmen claim they aren't. But when you sit on them you will be able to tell. Like I can flat feet both sides one of their R6 and not the other and etc.

I have to agree 100% prices are up there.... and ya most bikes are in miles not km

Everything there is priced way too high even for Canada. Went there cuz its closer to me for an oil filter, $19.99....price at GP or Markham Outdoor Power $7. The bikes are in miles because the owner brings them in a lot from the states and tries to sell them here for a neat profit. I wouldn't shop there but that's just based on prices. The service is pretty good.

Not sure if management has changed but my guess is its a new sign.

That place feels dusty or just a big clutter space. They should really clean that place up. The sportsbike is located in the front of the store. I didn't even realise that they also had a back showroom where it's mostly cruisers. Apparently you need an appointment to view the back but they let us in anyways. I think they're all US bikes did not see or notice one with km on just in miles.

I always wondered how they manage to keep such a huge inventory of used bikes, and still stay in business.
I've bought tires there before because it was convenient location-wise.
I brought my wheel in for mounting- got quick service, average price.

I was there last weekend and nothing inside has changed. The staff is also the same. They may have changed the sign but nothing else it seems.

I agree . . . Buy used off Kijiji, take a friend that knows bikes. :)

When a business always try to give an impression of NEW management or actually state NEW management and its in fact the same people... you know that place is shaddy.

Never bought anything there but been there a few times, and the last time I was there, this older blonde lady was ushering me to leave since I was browsing around with no particular item I HAD to buy on the spot. I asked her about the sizing on one of their clearance Alpinestar jacket and she said its all there and that everything is on special price and showed me a Joe Rocket jacket for like $500 and say this fits me better. When I walked towards the helmet section, she followed me and tell me to get this and that. I told her I already have a helmet and she actually said.."why are you looking at helmets then?"

Not sure if she was in an extremely bad mood that day or what but I really don't think that type of customer service would work well these days...

That lady was trying to convince me a jacket two sizes too big fit me properly.

"Itz OhKay, you grow into new Djacket thing. Jast eat moar!"

I was told that the owner of that junky shop on Queen street called the Motorcycle Superstore is the now owner of the previously bankrupt original Cycleworld. He bought the building and the name. The staff and the way things work are all of his doing and the way he runs his business. I was surprised that it looks so junky inside but my buddy told me that was the way his old shop was like on Queen St.
