Mayhem on Mercer St.

Two bikes knocked over on Mercer St on Wednesday Sept.27th around 5:15pm. One was my buddy's red Ducati Monster 1100S and it was knocked
over almost horizontally onto my red Honda VFR. This happened right by the night club at #15 Mercer. Lots of bikers park on this short street running between John St and
Peter St in downtown Toronto. Wondering if anyone noticed this event by chance. There was plenty of room when we both parked there earlier at 3. It looks as though someone was trying to park in too small a space and knocked over the Monster and then drove off. Its impossible to do that without knowing what they had done. Any information would be
helpful. Thanks

And I always thought it was safe parking on Mercer. My bike never got knocked down. Glad I switched to my bicycle.

That sucks man, you might want to check with the valet's working at the hotel across the street, they're outside all the time (and I've seen them assist with knocked over bikes in the past), so they may have witnessed something. I had mine parked by Gretzky's, walking down Mercer from John at 4:30 I hadn't noticed any knocked over bikes.

Update...learned from reliable sources that the car in question was a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser. Anyone familiar with this vehicle as
its likely the owner parks on Mercer St. from time to time? Event happened at 5:15 on Wednesday last in front of night club at #15 Mercer St. If seen please make note of license number and contact me (aircooled5@gmail.com). Do not approach the driver. Thanks.

You can't just assume any silver PT Cruiser you see is the one responsible. Without any witnesses noting the licence plate or other clear and unique identifiers of the car at the scene and without any video surveilance that clearly shows it, you're SOL.

You are correct sir. But we do know the exact time and the cars make, model and colour.
More to come.

Welp, keep us updated. I do hope you catch the one responsible.

I park here often. Will keep an eye out for said PT. I've had my mirror broken off there before from what i assume was someone backing into it, lucky they didn't knock the whole bike over. I've seen a lot of dumbasses try and fit in tight spaces on this street. Whenever I see it with a bike in front or behind, i always stay and watch their parking job closely.
