My company pitched an idea to Fox Sports late last year and they have agreed to do a pilot this summer.

The idea is to take riders from road and flat track and have them race against each other, the overall winner moves on to the semi-final and then the final from there.

Each show will have 4 riders - Two Road Racers and Two Flat Trackers - in head to head match racing over 4 races that include pavement and dirt on equally prepared bikes. Similar to the multi discipline series that riders competed in to win the #1 plate back in the day.

Fingers crossed it will get picked up. It would be great to do a couple of rounds in Canada.

Its a little different - unless you count R U Faster Than A Redneck :)
 
That's great. Good luck, there is 0 new shows being made around motorcycle sports and it's something I would watch.

I always loved flat track and also love TT. You don't see TT a lot any more

If I were a betting man I would put my money on the flat track guys

BTW. Is there anywhere in southern ontario that has mile or half mile in the summer?
