Manual Cam Chain Tightening

I just installed an MCCT to fix cam chain rattle. I adjusted it per the instructions, finger tight, then back it off 1/4 turn. I'm still not sure about the tension though. Here's a video of the noise around the cam area, could I get a second opinion that everything sounds alright?

Any tips for getting the tension right? I had a hard time judging finger tight with oily fingers since if i put a little more pressure, finger tight would go 1/4 of a turn more in one spot. I know that too loose is safer, so I'm thinking about backing it up until it rattles again, then tightening it a bit, but it's a pain getting the fairing on and off.

The confusing thing is that the engine whines normally from the counter balance right below the cam chain, I don't know if it sounds the same as a tight CCT.
I can hear the whine on these other bikes too:

Nothing unusual on this end of the internet connection. Those bikes have an incredibly loud mechanical howling to them, and it's normal.

If the rattling that you heard before is gone, it's fixed. As long as you never put a wrench on that adjustment screw (only tighten with your fingers) and you back it off a little bit, it will not be overtightened.

Thanks, that's the reassurance I was looking for. This was my first time working on engine internals, as basic as it was. I was a little scared of the repercussions of a broken cam chain.

Maybe you should bring it for a test ride up here and let me try it out, just to make sure that it is safe and all. I thought you were getting an R6?

I was looking for an r6 but this bike popped up for well below market value, could not say no. I was actually thinking about importing it next spring, could probably make some nice profit selling it at GTA value at that time of year. I'm liking it a lot though, I may keep it for more than a year.
