Looking to get a little suspension work done

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there is a local spot in or around the London area that would be able to adjust my suspension for proper spring rates for my weight along with setting the front and rear sag?

I am a super noob on the subject and Im not sure if this is something you can play with at the track, paying one of the guru's at a track day to help out or if I need to go into a shop.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, there is so many YouTube videos and write-ups online that you could probably do it yourself with the help of a friend. Also dave moss has alot of vids on YouTube showing this and they are easy to understand.

There isn't anyone in London I would send you to.

My closest recommendations would be Ryan Gill in Hamilton or Brad Clarke in Mississauga. PM me if you'd like more info.

John Sharrard http://www.acceltechracing.com/about.htm has started coming to the track for SOAR race weekends at grand bend. Im sure he could help you out and you can catch some racing while you're there!!! maybe contact him in advanced and if you need parts he could make sure to bring them. Fridays are not only practice for racers but can be a track day so you can test out your setup as well.

next race weekend is July 26th-28th

I've used Ryan Gill in Hamilton twice already, and have only good things to say about him, highly recommend!

One thing I didn't see in the replies was that if you actually require different springs, then you're looking to spend more money and possibly leaving the forks / bike with them for a while (if they don't have the springs in stock). Same goes for if you need different internals, etc, it can get pricey. I'm saying this only because I got a feeling you don't know what is involved.

As for setting up the sag with what you already have in there---like somebody said, you can watch some youtube and try to do it yourself with the help of a friend. The damping -- that's on you too, nobody can help you, you need to do trial and error after reading some how to interpret the effects.

Awesome info guys!

I guess I should have added my bike. 2007 GSXR 750

I have done a little reading up. Not as much as I should/will do.
from when I have read my bike is set up in the rear faily well for my weight, however the front needs a bit for work. I'm not looking to drop like 2K right now on a full out set up, I just don't get to the track enough to warrant this.

just would like to do the basics for right now. I would still be interested in getting it adjusted by someone who does it on the regular rather then my buddies that do less than 8 or 9 track days a year.

Caboose I will probably send you a PM
