Looking for pant suggestions in the $200-$300 range...

I think most mesh and ballistic will wear through tho kevlar may not. ( I have Sliders but they are too heavy )

Real key is hard armor in behind on the critical joints - one reason I favour separate knee armour.

Agreed... The Joe Rocket Ballistic and Alter Ego stuff tends to get favourable reviews.

Some hard armor behind the areas most likely to slide gives some insurance against road rash. Mesh/textile stuff is one crash sort of stuff. Maybe Motosport or some other high end stuff might take multiple slides but I suspect that my Olympia Airglide pants would probably not fare that much better.

I'd stay away from Joe Rocket's pants... This a crash at less than 40kms/h.

Anyone know how that fabric there compares to 500 Cordura? Similar? Better? Worse?
