Looking for input/advice

Man even though you're just joking or compensating for a little dick, I gotta come to the defense of the lil Ninja. The 87-07 I completely agree. While I'm sure it looked cool at the start of its life 20 years later it was waaaay too outdated and dorky.
The new one was without a doubt one of the best looking new releases for 08. I really don't see how anyone can disagree. Its 110% ****able and I guarantee can get you laid, and it looks better than many bigger bikes, besides 95% of women could either give a **** less or don't know jack **** about cc's. If you think you ain't gonna get pussy because of it, you're just lacking where it really matters. If you're gonna make fun of any bike based on size and looks
at least pick on the 125...

Tell me this doesn't scream sexy timeless beauty...

and just to point out when I say "you" I don't specifically mean you, I'm referring to anyone with that opinion...
Easy buddy its just a joke

And lol at your comment "women could either give a **** less or don't know jack **** about cc's" you would be surprised, most girls I know probably know more about bikes than most guys on this forum, so easy with those comments

I think its you the one that has a size complex in here

I recommend the GSXR as well. I own a 08' R6s, good riding position, not as agressive as the R6 but as for overall comfort, GSXR still got it.

The ninja 250, when compared to the car scene is the honda civic. Yes, you can make fun of the guy with a pinto as well, but when you roll up on corvettes and ferraris in a civic expect some bashing. ;)

your ninja is very cute btw, don't let anyone tell you otherwise :)

And lets be honest here for a moment, that whole "small penis" thing is just a way to try and excuse your inability to own a x car or x bike. Its just a way to make one self feel better by putting the other guy down.

I have ridden piles of bikes. For a new racebike, the R6 would be near the top of the list. For a streetbike it wouldn't even be on my radar.

The 06 and newer R6 is terrible for a lack of midrange and bottom end. Awesome racebike if you can keep it on the boil at 11,000+ rpm....but as a streetbike I think it's way too focused, both engine wise and the seating position. You sit atop the bike rather than in it.

GSXR makes a nicer streetbike. It's not as accurate steering, but still a hella sharp tool for negotiating twisty asphalt, and much more comfortable than the R6, and a whole lot more accessible midrange.

I prefer sitting atop the bike then "in" it. For more comfort I'd go gsxr cuz they are hella fun. But the R6 IMHO is the sexiest bike out there. It's been the same for the last 8 years cuz it's hard to improve on perfection.

I thought the same with the R6 no other bike can be sexier until I saw love at first sight.....

For a street bike, Triumph 675 is my favorite bike in this class ... but I haven't ridden one. I don't think I'd want to race one. Parts for any of the Japanese bikes are more readily available.

I go with Triumph 675 daytona as well . last Moto show , i literally sat on every single bike mid size bike(600 to 875) and there were only 2 bikes made me feel like lets ride are MV agusta F3 and Triumph 675 daytona , both felt very comfortable. i checked the reviews on both and some VS videos . I ve decided to get a Triumph 675 daytona as my next bike. i do agree on R6 sexy , however it was the most uncomfortable bike i sat on.i just dont trust suzuki technology GSXR would be the cheapest for parts tho.

This post reminds me of the thread "For love or function"

What's not to trust? The gixxer has been around for years, tons of racers use them.

I've put 60k on 2 gixxers & none of them required any kind of work

Sent from my Phone, dont judge the grammar

Another question. How long would one expect to ride before any major maintenance? I'm very at tentative I maintenance and don't miss or skip any of it on any vehicle I own. The gsxr has 9k on it already and the r6 only 4500. Thanks so far guys and gals. Lots of good advice/comments in here.

LOL about the trusting the GSXR..... The only two bikes I have personally witnessed puking the entire contents of the motor onto the track surface in the last 2 yrs of racing were both 675 Triumphs.
While the 675 is a cool bike, it is my opinion that it would be the least reliable of the three, compared with an R6 or GSXR.

Check the owner's manual, but I would guess botht he GSXR and R6 would be up for a valve check and possible shimming around 25K kms ish. Other than that, change oil and ride. Balancing throttle bodies can be done periodically as well.

You know what they say.....love is blind
Nice bike, but not digging the OEM stickers on the frame. ;)
Its taking from the tubular frame

It's 25k on my gsxr. I've own 2 and never needs adjusting at 40k. Most of the people I've spoken to didn't need an adjustment. I would assume if you're racing it and running it close to redline all day, it would be different.

Most mechanics would say the same on the big 4s

I think I'm missing something about 'trust' when it comes to any of the big 4. They are available everywhere, parts are less than more 'exotic' bikes and like any machine if you treat it properly it usually treats you well in return.

Nice 848 but they only belong in one color. Yep I said it :tongue3:

Thanks everyone. Lots of great advice/opinions have helped me out. I'm 99% sure I'm going with the gsxr. I have until Friday to decide but I'd say my mind is made up. Now the snow needs to take a hike.

Just wanted to do an update and say thanks again for those who had some great input. Looked around and while the looks of the all white 09 gsxr sold me, I ended up going with a new 2012 that Brampton Motorsports had in stock. Going to finalize everything tomorrow and should have it home this week. Super excited and have to say that the people at the dealership are fantastic to deal with. Two thumbs up for sure!
