I need a rain suit for the second week of July .Any suggestions on suit or places that stock them.

I was going to order a Harley rain suit .But I don`t have the time to pick it up in Niagara Falls next week.

I went to Le Baron this spring and picked up one from Helly Hansen for like 60 bucks. I dont think it was made specifically for motorcycles but it works great.

I picked my up from Daytona Motor Sport last week, I think it was $60. they were running low on rain suit stock last time I was there cuz of all that nasty weather so I would call ahead to check their stock before you go. they said they were getting new stock in this week

If you can wait for shipping or find it in NA there's an "eco" rainsuit by Berik that won a few awards for best no-frills rainsuit a while back in the British bike mags. I got my family to send one over from the UK. Awesome suit...just wish I'd have ordered my missing pipe heat shield first :)

Frog Togg's, available at Bass Pro or Royal Distributing, around $60

+1 I own one and wore it for many hours on the highway in the worst rain I have ever seen. I was dry from rain but sweated like a fat kid running after a sadistic ice cream truck driver...

+1 for Frogg Toggs.

Go to a motorcycle store and pick any rainsuit they have over 60 bux.

They should have zips at the calves for easy getting in and out of, should have stirrups to keep them from flying up your leg, they should have additional material at the knees and butt potentially cuz they'll take quite a bit of rain (and these are wear points from flex)...the jacket should have velcro cuffs, and possibly an elastic interior cuff to go inside your glove. The jacket would be nice to have some rear venting cuz rainsuits tend to be rubber inside, so you'll sweat.

Some ppl like to have reflective surfaces cuz rain makes it way harder to see riders.

Also make sure you get some waterproof gloves. If not, grab some black rubber dishwashing ones to fit over your riding gloves from the dollar store.

You may want to look into a neck protector too.

Frog Toggs.. are amazing... Dont know what the other guys problem was with sweating ?

they are completely breatheable. I also wear them for work outdoors in the winter months..

Toggs breath, rubber suits don't.

I have a Columbia Rainsuit 100 percent nylon, PVC coated, non motorcycle specific. Does not breath.

Works great!

Use any decent Goretex rainwear.
I have Columbia waterproof pants and a similar jacket. I can use the gear for both riding/hiking & everyday wear. Just make sure the pants are a little long so they don't ride up.

You can find deals at outdoors/sporting goods stores

I picked up a one-piece suit made by Held at Yamaha of Oakville—sturdy and good quality. They also carry Kriega waterproof bags that will keep the rest of your stuff dry.

I would definitely recommend a one-piece over two-piece. I have tried both in the rain. The one-piece kept me dry.

I have a two piece, which is great ...the pants are fitted like overalls - yeh, sexy as hell, but they do the business.

And makes rest stops easier to manage...

As someone noted, motorcycle gear will have some material in the crotch and longer legs to allow them to fit properly when on the bike. Sleeves will be a tad longer too.
